ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum issued an apology on First Take after mentioning Skip Bayless and his love for Tim Tebow.
Finebaum has received plenty of attention for his bold takes, which have concerned Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning, this week.

Finebaum double-downed his praise for Manning on Wednesday, claiming that the nephew of the NFL icons Peyton and Eli is still superior to the likes of Cam Newton, Joe Burrow, and others.
But the 69-year-old didn’t stop there – he made sure to mock Bayless’ past obsession with Tebow during the segment.
“Tim Tebow was a bust in the NFL,” Finebaum said on First Take.
“I think we can all agree on that… I’m sorry, Skip Bayless somewhere is losing his breakfast.”
Tebow didn’t come close to the NFL career that he had in college football.
The 2010 first-round pick played in just three NFL seasons before quitting and pursuing a professional baseball career.
Tebow led the Gators to two BCS National Championships.
Bayless was known for his otherworldly admiration for Tebow during his days on First Take.
The fiery personality to this day claims that he wasn’t pushing a bit.
Bayless has yet to comment on Finebaum’s comments.
Nonetheless, Manning is set to have a breakout season this upcoming year as a starter for the first time.
The 21-year-old had sat behind Quinn Ewers last year as the team lost to Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl.
Finebaum raved about Manning, who “should have replaced Ewers during last season’s CFP semi Cotton Bowl defeat to Ohio”.
Dan Graziano asked: “Paul Finebaum, what’re your expectations for Manning?”

“That’s assuming that his team does what it’s supposed to do and compete not only for the SEC, but for the national championship, and I really believe they will.
“I think Steve Sarkisian, who is one of the most amazing play callers I’ve ever seen, made a critical mistake late in the year.
“He was way too loyal to Quinn Ewers, who was banged up and was really ineffective.
Finebaum’s opinion is bold, as Manning has only two career starts.
But during his nine game appearances, he posted 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions.
