ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Weather looks wonderful for the 4th and the rest of the holiday weekend. Focusing on Thursday we will have mainly dry conditions, but a weak front may spark a thunderstorm early in the afternoon. Chances for thunder will be higher to the east and south of Rochester. While no widespread severe weather is expected a storm or two may become strong with a downpour, gust of wind and even a little hail possible. These storms will clear mid to late afternoon. Thursday night weather looks good for any fireworks shows tonight.
The 4th of July weather is looking wonderful with lots of sunshine and pleasant temps in the 70s to near 80 degrees. Near perfect conditions for parades, picnics, boating and any outdoor plans with low humidity and light winds. Fine weather continues into Friday night for some great weather to enjoy the fireworks shows. Looking ahead to the weekend we keep the sunshine but add lots of heat and eventually more humidity. Temps will soar to near 90 degrees. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest updates on any thunder that develops Thursday afternoon.
