Raymond van Barneveld was once involved in a heated altercation when he was accused of cheating by PDC rival Gary Anderson.
The tense exchange took place at the end of a thrilling Premier League Darts encounter in 2015, which ultimately saw the Dutchman claim a 7-5 comeback victory against the Scot.
Five-time darts world champion Raymond Van Barneveld found himself in hot water in a 2015 Premier League encounterGettyAnd the game’s major talking-point came just as the match reached a crucial stage, when Anderson found himself fighting to stay in the contest in Birmingham.
Having led 4-0, the then world champion saw the match turn on his head, as Van Barneveld battled back to take a 6-5 lead.
In order to level things up at 6-6, the ‘Flying Scotsman’ needed to take out 41 with three in hand.
However, Anderson appeared visibly agitated as ‘Barney’ walked past while he lined up his throw, and accused the Dutchman of walking too close to him as he collected his darts from the oche.
This certainly threw the two-time world champion off, who subsequently missed his chance at a point to present Van Barneveld with a chance to seal the match.
And the Dutch star made no mistake, who stepped up to clinch a 7-5 win with his next throw.
But the drama didn’t end there, as Anderson then angrily confronted his opponent as the pair went to shake hands immediately after the game’s conclusion.
Anderson pointed an accusing finger at Van Barneveld, who was pictured looking puzzled by his tour rival.
However, the five-time world champion later appeared furious at the accusation of cheating.
Sharing his version of events with Sky Sports, he said: “He blamed me for stamping, but I always play fair and square.

“He missed a couple of darts and he was blaming me but how can you blame someone else for you missing doubles? The result doesn’t matter as I always play fair.
“And if someone accuses me of unfair playing, then we are going to have a chat, trust me.”
Despite Van Barneveld protesting his innocence, Anderson doubled down on his earlier claims of a lack of sportsmanship from his adversary when asked about it later on.
The former world number two told the Daily Record: “I was absolutely fuming.
“I’ll keep the exact details to myself until I speak to Raymond face to face but I know what went on up there and I made my feelings clear at the end of the match.

“I believe Raymond went on to the TV and said we’d have a chat about it.
“Well, I would have been quite happy to do so, only I couldn’t find him.”
Fortunately for Anderson, the tense encounter did not hamper his chances in that Premier League campaign.
Both he and Van Barneveld went on to reach the season-ending play-offs, with Anderson ultimately losing out in the final to Michael van Gerwen, suffering a 11-7 defeat in the O2 Arena showpiece.
