Ole Miss is hoping for a strong July on the recruiting trail to build some momentum for the 2026 recruiting class. So far, the Rebels are starting the month off right with a big-time pickup.
On Tuesday, Ole Miss landed a commitment from tight end JC Anderson. A prime pickup out of Illinois, Anderson was also considering the in-state Illini and Auburn before revealing his live commitment to Lane Kiffin and the Rebels.
Anderson previously generated a host of major offers for the cycle as a 4-star prospect before his commitment:

Anderson is a multi-sport athlete who has also played basketball in high school. During the 2024 season, he recorded 47 catches for 535 yards and 7 touchdowns.
The commitment from Anderson brings the Rebels up to 11 hard commitments for the cycle, a group that currently ranks 40th in the country per the team composite rankings. However, Anderson is the 4th player in the top 150 of the country to commit to Ole Miss.
The good news is Ole Miss still has plenty of time to improve its recruiting class after 3 straight classes in the top 25 nationally.
