ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Police say a 20-year-old man, Aaron Johnson Jr., was arrested on gun charges on Hollister Street on Saturday.
Rochester Police were patrolling Hollister Street at 6:30 p.m. when they saw a man hide a bag behind a parked car and walk away. They found the bag with a fully loaded ghost gun next to it. The gun was loaded with seven rounds of 9mm ammunition. The bag also had a 9mm Glock handgun, which was loaded with 11 rounds and equipped with a switch designed to make it function as a fully automatic handgun. An additional 24 rounds of 9mm ammunition were found in the bag.
After a foot chase, officers found Johnson Jr. hiding under an overturned garbage can on Irondequoit Street. He was arrested and taken to Monroe County Jail. He was charged with the following:
Two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree Three counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree One count of criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degreeHe was arraigned in Rochester City Court and is being held on $25,000 cash bail.
