Galaxy Z Fold 7 has generated considerable excitement, particularly due to recent leaks highlighting its design enhancements. According to a leak by Evan Blass, the Z Fold 7 is expected to feature a notably thinner profile compared to its predecessor, the Z Fold 6, measuring just 4.5mm when unfolded and 9mm when folded . This reduction in thickness not only enhances portability but also reflects Samsung's commitment to refining the user experience in foldable devices.

This pretty clearly shows that the foldable is a lot thinner than its predecessor, with the fingerprint sensor/power button barely having enough room. The camera array also doesn’t look as thin in this image as it did in prior leaks.
Google launched their wider-screened foldable phones. As exciting as that design shift will be, it was expected. I thought Samsung would make this change immediately after the Fold 6 launched last summer.
Galaxy S25 Edge doesn’t make sense. Judging by the rumored early sales data, I’m not alone. Either Samsung is leading the pack in a new slim phone trend (it says it isn’t copying Apple’s iPhone 17 Air), or the device is a prototype for future phones. I’d put my money on the latter.

However, one recent leak claimed the Z Fold 7 would be 8.9mm thick when folded and just 3.9mm thick when unfolded, which would make it a good deal skinnier than its predecessors. Unfortunately, we don't have any measurement figures for the Z Flip 7 yet.
In addition to these features, rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will sport an impressive 8.2-inch main display and a cover screen with advanced refresh rates . Such specifications could position it as one of Samsung's most innovative foldables yet.
