Global attention has recently turned toward these leagues. India’s domestic cricket is in a busy phase following the conclusion of the IPL, with several state associations hosting their own T20 leagues. These tournaments offer emerging players a chance to showcase their skills alongside established Indian stars.

State League Franchise Owners Struggle to Recover Investments
State-level T20 leagues have become valuable scouting grounds for IPL franchises. However, most franchise owners involved in state leagues struggle to recover their investments, and this financial strain raises concerns about potential misconduct, including betting and match-fixing.
State leagues have limited earning potential. Without a sustainable financial model, these leagues risk collapse. Franchise owners invest in scouting and nurturing local players, hoping to develop future stars, but they receive little to no financial return for their efforts.
