Roads in Monroe and Livingston County buckle due to heat Monday ...Middle East

News by : (News10NBC) -

GREECE, N.Y. – On Tuesday morning, News10NBC saw a crew fixing a road that buckled due to Monday’s temperatures.

The buckling, which was on 390 north near Vintage Lane in Greece, created a ramp of sorts during rush hour Monday.

The state Department of Transportation says there were multiple reports of flat tires, but no injuries.

In Livingston County, 390 south between the Mount Morris and Lakeville exits also buckled.

The DOT says crews were making repairs Tuesday there as well. Roads buckle when extreme heat or cold causes the concrete plates underneath the roads to shift.
