ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Another scorcher ahead with temps into the 90s and the Heat Index feel like temp into the low 100s. Take it slow and easy this Tuesday afternoon and seek ways to beat the heat. We will be near a record high once again this afternoon, but like yesterday, we most likely come up a few degrees short of the 96 degree record set back in 1949. Mostly sunny skies this morning will mix with a few puffy clouds later in the day. An isolated thunderstorm is possible towards evening but most of us stay rain free.
On Wednesday a cold front sinks to our south and the breeze turns to the north. This will drop our temps back into the 70s and low 80s and also drop the humidity. The cooler weather will last into Thursday and then a warm front will bring in more mugginess on Friday with some showers and thunderstorms on the increase to end the week. A few showers and storms linger into Saturday with sunshine on Sunday. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest updates on the heat wave.
