According to TMZ, Allman, who is the son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman, was discharged from a Southern California hospital this week after being rushed there from his home near Joshua Tree last weekend. According to their sources, he is currently home and recovering.
The 48-year-old was reportedly hospitalized after law enforcement received a report of a man "acting erratically." When deputies arrived at the scene, they allegedly found drugs inside his home. It is unknown which substances were found.
Sources told TMZ that, Cher's "only concern" right now is her son's well-being and getting him the help he needs.
In a 2014 interview with Entertainment Tonight, he revealed he began using drugs at just 11 years old. He also shared that he's had close calls with overdosing in the past, including incidents where we wasn't confident he would survive.
"The wrong combination of things can happen and you can just slip into the abyss. I knew it was wrong and I knew that I was very unsatisfied with life at that point." he added.
