Gun stolen over 40 years ago recovered in Vallejo arrest ...Middle East

(KRON) – A gun that was stolen more than 40 years ago was found on a convicted felon, said the Vallejo Police Department. 

Vallejo police noticed a vehicle they said was trespassing on private property in the 2400 block of Sonoma Boulevard on June 15. VPD said the officer noted a methamphetamine pipe on the driver’s lap while speaking with the subject.

The car’s two occupants were detained.

In a search of the vehicle and occupants, police found a concealed stolen firearm that was stolen out of Wyandotte, Michigan in 1984. The gun was found with the passenger of the vehicle, along with drug paraphernalia. According to Vallejo PD, the passenger was a convicted felon. 

The passenger was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail for weapons and narcotics violations.  

The driver was cited for drug paraphernalia and released, according to police.
