MUMFORD, N.Y. – The Celtic Faire kicked off Saturday at the Genesee County Village & Museum, celebrating Celtic heritage. This event highlights the traditions of those with Irish, Scottish, and Welsh descent.
Visitors can enjoy activities such as cricket and Gaelic football.
“A huge part of the Celtic Faire is recognizing that in the 1800s, there were immigrants from all over Europe who came here and settled and brought with them their traditions, they wore, what they ate, and their family culture. And so this is a celebration of all of those traditions,” officials said.
The fair also features music from several local Celtic bands.
If you missed out on Saturday, the event continues on Sunday.
