They include three in Angola, a new market for the company: one in the city of Cabinda and two in the capital Luanda, one affordable and one high end.
In Benin, Hilton has signed a deal with the Société de Développement Hôtelier du Bénin for the 233-room Hilton Cotonou (pictured).
The company will return to Madagascar with two projects in the capital, Antananarivo.
In Nigeria, the company will open the 93-room Wave Hotel Abuja Jabi near the capital Abuja’s business district.
Also in Nigeria, Hilton will work with conglomerate Cornfield Group on the 200-room Hilton Lagos Ikeja, set to open in 2029, and the 100-room Hilton Garden Inn in Kano with developer Akhim Plus.
In Morocco, the company will open the 109-room DoubleTree by Hilton Fes Golf, located on a golf course.
Hilton will also open an airport hotel in Accra, Ghana, two in Ethiopia and one in Tanzania.
Hilton currently operates 63 hotels in Africa. It has recently announced it plans to open 40 hotels in Egypt.
“Africa offers incredible opportunity, from thriving business hubs to vibrant cultures, wildlife, and natural landscapes,” said Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s chief development officer in the Middle East & Africa.
