Aurora woman hit by potentially stray bullet while lying in bed ...Middle East

DENVER (KDVR) — A woman was hit by a potentially stray bullet while she was lying in bed on the second floor of her Aurora home on Thursday morning.

The Aurora Police Department said the 37-year-old woman called 911 after she was shot while in bed after midnight on Thursday. She was shot while on the second floor of her building in Aurora on East 13th Place.

The woman was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and no one else was injured in the shooting.

After initial investigation, police said she doesn't appear to be the intended target, and it may have been a stray bullet fired from an unknown location. There were no shell casings in the area, and at this time, there is no one in custody.
