Marte, Carroll among position leaders in NL All-Star voting returns ...Middle East

The Arizona Diamondbacks may not be having the season they imagined, but star players Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll are being recognized for their high level of play.

Both players have garnered significant votes in their respective positions in the first phase of the 2025 MLB All-Star voting.

Where did Marte and Carroll rank among their peers in 2025 MLB All-Star voting?

Marte is currently ranked first overall out of all NL second basemen, earning 850,572 All-Star votes so far.

He is more than 300,000 votes ahead of the Dodgers’ Tommy Edman, who is in second place.

In a season filled with ups and downs for the D-backs, Marte has been one of the major bright spots for the team. Marte, the Diamondbacks’ longest-tenured player, is looking to make it back-to-back seasons as an All-Star following up his incredible 2024 campaign, where he was named All-MLB First Team.

It’s not a surprise that Marte has a significant voting lead over the competition as his season has been nothing short of impressive.

Marte, who has been rock solid on defense, has been putting up strong numbers at the plate, hitting .288 with 12 home runs and 23 RBIs.

Carroll is also one of the finalists for his position in the first phase of All-Star voting so far.

Among the six outfielders that get selected from each league for the All-Star game, Carroll was the fifth-highest voted outfielder in the NL, earning 597,805 votes.

Carroll, who took home NL Rookie of the Year honors after a stellar first year, had an up and down 2024 before starting off with his best this season. Carroll has a .253 batting average, 20 home runs and 44 RBIs so far.

The halfway point in the season hasn’t even arrived and Carroll has almost topped his record for most home runs in a season (25).

Besides Marte and Carroll, Eugenio Suarez is just outside the top two highest-voted third basemen in third place with 290,138 votes so far.

First basemen Josh Naylor and shortstop Geraldo Perdomo are also among top-10 vote getters at their respective positions.

When does 2025 MLB All-Star voting start?

The first phase of voting officially opened on Tuesday, June 4, and will conclude on Thursday, June 26.

In the first phase, fans can pick eight position players and a designated hitter per league and vote up to five times per 24-hour window.

On June 26, the top two most voted players at each position will be revealed, with the top overall vote getters for each league earning an automatic starting spot in the All-Star game.

The voting process then continues to the second phase, where fans can vote on the best remaining players from each league.
