England kick-off a massive second half of 2025 with a five-match Test series against old rivals India.
India are the visitors this time, with Ben Stokes and co looking to avenge the 4-1 series defeat away from home last year.
Ben Stokes is out to mastermind a stunning 2025 for EnglandGettyEngland are on home soil and will have conditions they know, and a win would be a huge boost heading into The Ashes later this year.
The ultimate test for any England Test team is an away trip to Australia.
If Brendon McCullum‘s men pull off victory over India and go on to reclaim the famous urn, Bazball’s critics would be silenced.
But India are no pushovers and boast some of the world’s best players and a few who are yet to prove themselves in English conditions.
And what’s even better is that listeners from overseas can follow all of the action on talkSPORT.

England vs India: Squads
England have so far named their squad for the first Test, with the potential for that to change as the summer progresses.
Gus Atkinson and Jofra Archer are out with injuries, but it is possible the latter returns later in the series.
Surrey’s Jamie Overton is recalled for the first time since 2022.
Jacob Bethell, Chris Woakes and Brydon Carse all return after missing the one-off Zimbabwe Test.
Meanwhile for India, there has been a huge changing of the guard.
Stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have retired from Test cricket, meaning Shubman Gil has been named captain with Rishabh Pant the deputy.
Despite two of the best deciding to call it a day, they still have an immensely talented team.
England’s squad: Ben Stokes (C), Shoaib Bashir, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Sam Cook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Jamie Overton, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jamie Smith (WK), Josh Tongue, Chris Woakes

Kohli has called it a day in Test cricketGettyEngland vs India: What has been said?
Stokes had to hit back at critics a few weeks ago who had suggested that the England captain was planning to drop Ollie Pope.
This came after Stokes praised Jacob Bethell’s performances at number three in New Zealand over the winter.
In defence of Pope, he said: “That was written to suit an agenda that was being said away from what is in the team.
“It is unfortunate that you say something and it can get twisted. I made it very clear to Popey the night before this Test that is not the case. He’s my vice-captain and he’s been incredible.
“Popey knows how much I value him, not only as a player but also as a leader, as a vice-captain.
“He’s someone who I lean on a lot out there. He’s very good in particular when I’m bowling, about a few things that are a lot easier to miss when I’ve got my bowling head on. So, just a big misinterpretation.”
