Noor Ahmad’s phenomenal form continues as he grabbed yet another four-wicket haul in T20 cricket. The Afghanistan spinner, who was bought by CSK for Rs 10 crore, finished IPL 2025 as the second highest wicket-taker and the leading wicket-getter for the franchise. Now, he continues to trouble the batters – this time as a part of Texas Super Kings in MLC 2025.

Noor’s first wicket was LAKR batter Nitish Kumar as the latter was caught out by Ferreira in the 6th over. His next victim was the dangerous Andre Russell, who was sent packing for just one run. In the very next delivery, he got rid of Sunil Narine for a golden duck. Noor’s final victim was Matthew Tromp as the batter was castled by the Afghan spinner, bringing an end to his 23-run knock.
Ahmad finished his spell with figures of 4/25 at an economy rate of 6.20. The Texas Super Kings, who had set a 182-run target, ended up bowling out LAKR for just 124 runs in 17.1 overs and won the game by 57 runs. Noor was named the Player of the Match for his outstanding spell.
“Everywhere I go, I just try to keep it simple and go with the basics. Here the length is very important. Just tried to hit the right areas and it worked for me. The environment is very good on and off the field, I’m enjoying,” he said.
With his four-wicket haul, Noor is now the third leading wicket-taker in MLC 2025. He has taken 5 wickets from 2 matches so far and has conceded 58 runs from 48 deliveries bowled so far.
In IPL 2025, the Afghan spinner finished with 24 wickets from 14 matches, including two four-wicket hauls. Noor was bought by Rs 10 crore by CSK in the IPL 2025 mega auction after he was released by GT. The 20-year-old fared much better than veterans like Ashwin and Jadeja in CSK.
