It started when I read that Coronation Street’s Ken Barlow, actor William Roache, had hired an animal psychic so he could communicate with his two Jack Russells.
I booked a home visit from multi-award winning animal communicator Jackie Weaver on the spot. Age eight she told her Dad that their family dog was only being aggressive because he was scared, without understanding how she knew that. When she grew up, she married a horse dentist – natch – and began using her gift professionally to help with his patients.
“Have you ever put a bow tie on Ron?” she asked me, within minutes of arriving. I informed her that I had. “He thinks he looked very handsome in it,” she relayed solemnly.
Jackie also helped with an issue I’d been extremely worried about – did Weasel know she was only banned from the bedroom because she did a wee on the curtains, and not because I was just being mean? Thankfully, Jackie confirmed she did. “But Weasel didn’t do it to be annoying,” she clarified. “She got caught out, and couldn’t make it outside in time.” Listen, we’ve all been there.

Once I sat down on the sofa next to my cat Major Ferguson and he began meowing as I stroked him, which turned out to be, “I’m so glad you’re here!” Bless. Similarly, his more…complex sister June stalked into a room, fixed me with a stare, and meowed, “I will fight you”, which is very much her vibe. Major also often says, “I’m in love!” I’m not sure if he’s expressing warm feelings towards me or letting it be known that he’s met someone, but happy for him either way.
But, as previously covered, life’s curveballs are infamous. MeowTalk has revealed that Mr Pickles is severely misunderstood. “Hey,” he is actually greeting us, “Nice to see you! How’s your day?”
He wasn’t angry or dastardly, he was lonely! Here’s a lesson for all of us, probably. Isn’t science great?
