The BCCI had remained silent following the tragic incident in Bengaluru on June 4. The stampede occurred as fans gathered at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Following the incident, the Bengaluru team announced financial assistance of ₹10 lakh each to the families of the 11 victims who lost their lives.
“The Apex Council expressed its profound grief over the tragic incidents in Ahmedabad and Bengaluru, which led to the unfortunate loss of innocent lives," BCCI said in a statement.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also directed the Bengaluru Police to take action against those responsible, including officials from RCB and event management firm DNA Entertainment.
Meanwhile, KSCA Secretary A. Shankar and Treasurer E.S. Jairam resigned, citing moral responsibility for the tragedy. RCB faced sharp criticism for rushing their victory celebrations, which many believe contributed to the chaos.
