DENVER (KDVR) — Residents of Denver joined in with the over 2,000 "No Kings" protests and rallies held nationwide on Saturday.

The rallies coincided with the United States Army's 250th Anniversary Parade, which was also held on the same day as the birthday of President Donald Trump.
Across the country, millions of people attended the No Kings protests, according to AP News. Thousands of those millions came in the form of the residents of Denver, who gathered outside the Colorado State Capitol on Saturday afternoon.
Protests were scattered across Colorado in major cities and smaller gatherings. FOX31 sent reporters to rallies held in Denver, Parker and Castle Rock to speak with participants.
"I'm looking at the fact that we're going back — trying to take all of our history away, he's banning books, he's taking things down, but he can never take our love. He can never take us away," said Denver protestor Pam McGinnis.
The protestors traveled west down Colfax Avenue and on the streets surrounding the Capitol.
In a situation that can turn heated quickly, Denver police kept a low profile, mainly working on traffic control, which rally-goers said was appreciated.
"It's been so peaceful. I came prepared with gas masks, but it's been great," said a protester.
The Denver Police Department reported that no arrests were made.
Rep. Lauren Boebert released a statement about the protests being held nationwide.
"With the border as secure as it's ever been, a booming economy and woke policies being thrown in the trash every day, I can see why the organized far-left wants to throw a staged temper tantrum this weekend," said Boebert.
