The 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans takes place across this weekend at the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe in France.
The world’s oldest-surviving and most prestigious endurance race was first staged in 1923, and is still going strong a century later.
Ferrari are out to secure a historic three-peatGettyAside from the 1936 worker strikes due to the Great Depression in France, and almost all of the 1940s following the events and fallout from the Second World War, it has been held annually since.
It forms one-third of the unofficial Triple Crown of Motorsport, alongside the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indy 500.
This year promises to be among the greatest sporting spectacles, featuring a stacked 21 Hypercar race from eight manufacturers.
This includes the additions of BMW, Lamborghini, Alpine, Toyota and new entrant Aston Martin.
Ferrari, persistent strugglers in Formula 1, were champions in 2023 and 2024, and are eyeing a historic three-peat this year.
Jenson Button is among the ex-F1 drivers racing, with Robert Kubica, Kevin Magnussen, Mick Schumacher, Romain Grosjean, and Daniil Kvyat.
