The D-backs took a 3-2 lead into the sixth inning, looking to win their fifth straight ballgame after sweeping the Atlanta Braves. With the rain coming down, the Reds tied the game on a Christian Encarnacion-Strand solo shot off D-backs pitcher Cristian Mena.

By the end of the sixth inning, puddles started to form along the infield. Lightning was previously visible beyond center field.

Marte — starting Friday’s game as a designated hitter — mashed a curveball from Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo over the wall in left field, his 12th home run since he returned from the injured list on May 2. He has homered in three of four games to start this road trip.

Perdomo attacked a first-pitch fastball in the zone and shot it out to left-center field.

That was his second career home run off a lefty and his seventh long ball of the season, which ties a career high.
