Konefal recently spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the return, sharing, “There’s so much joy. It’s through the roof. It’s surreal, and I don’t think Ciara ever expected to feel that again. Her father’s been gone for a long time, and anytime he’s almost come back, it’s been like a pipe dream. It’s been dangled in front of her face. So for him to finally wake up is a dream come true.”
The actress shared what it was like getting to work with Reckell for the first time. Konefal said, “It was almost like I’d been playing Ciara from birth. Peter and I chatted before we got on set, and we’ve chatted a little bit throughout the years. I found it really natural to emote with Peter. It felt very [easy]. There was a lot of chemistry. It was easy for us to create that bond, that father-daughter rapport.”
