THE clock is certainly ticking for Aaron Rodgers to decide whether he wants to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 41-year-old NFL icon likely has to agree to a deal with the Steelers by a certain date, as Mike Tomlin’s squad looks for an answer at the quarterback position.

If Rodgers does play in 2025, the future Hall of Famer would likely be a Steeler, a team he’s expected to join.
However, the four-time NFL MVP still hasn’t made a decision, and the Steelers have important dates coming up.
Pittsburgh had three OTA (Organized Team Activities) last week.
They have three this week and then have a three-day mandatory minicamp next week.
In order to perform offseason reps with the Steelers this month, Rodgers will have to sign with the franchise before mandatory minicamp, which begins next Tuesday.
However, there has to be any indication that Rodgers will sign with the team before June 12, the last day of mandatory minicamp.
Regardless, if Rodgers signs with the Steelers, before or after mandatory minicamp, he will have to participate in the team’s training camp, which usually begins at the end of July.
This offseason, Rodgers has met with Tomlin and the Steelers and has trained with star wide receiver DK Metcalf.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show and claimed a verbal agreement between Rodgers and the Steelers does not exist.
However, Pelissero still believes the two will eventually sort out a deal.
“I have been told that he has not affirmatively told the Steelers that he’s coming,”“Certainly all the indications, if you look at it logically, are that he’s coming,” Pelissero said.“He took one visit, he’s been throwing with DK Metcalf, he talks with Mike Tomlin.“There’s all these signs that he’s coming but he’s not affirmatively said ‘June 9, book me the ticket, I’m coming in and I’m going to join this team.'”
Pelissero also shared that there isn’t a deadline for Rodgers to sign with the Steelers.
Rodgers has been a free agent since he was cut by the New York Jets in March.
He is coming off a disappointing season with the Jets in which he led the team to a 5-12 record.
