IPL 2025 final: 3 PBKS weaknesses that RCB could look to exploit ...Middle East

Sport by : (Inside sport) -

It is time for the IPL 2025 final, and PBKS & RCB are all set to win their first-ever trophy, after playing for 18 years. So, the stakes are higher than ever for both these sides, and the one who holds the nerves better will emerge victorious. Having said that, despite Punjab winning a stunning match vs MI in the qualifier 2, they do have some ‘so-called’ weaknesses, that Bengaluru could look to exploit.

PBK

Arshdeep Singh’s dwindling form: In 16 matches, the left-arm pacer has 18 wickets. Excellent right? Well, in the last five matches he has just picked up two wickets, and has been poor after the IPL 2025 restarted. Against MI too, he leaked 44 runs without picking any wicket. So, this is where Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, Mayank Agarwal and Jitesh Sharma should really capitalise. It is a huge opportunity for RCB, to put Punjab’s main bowler under pressure.

Yuzvendra Chahal in or out: The leg-spinner played in the last match vs MI. He is a must have for PBKS, and could be a game-changer for his side. But despite that, it seems he might not be fully fit. If he plays, he could be very expensive. RCB has enough hitters in their ranks to negate the Chahal threat, if at all.

Shreyas Iyer vs Josh Hazlewood: The star of the Qualifier 2, Shreyas has some unfinished business against the Aussie quick. The latter has dismissed PBKS skipper four times in six matches. 11 runs is what the Indian has managed to score against Hazlewood. So, there is a concern there for sure.
