Five players from the 2025 University of Northern Colorado softball team were named to an NCAA Division I team recognizing athletes’ academic and athletic achievements.

The College Sports Communicators selected Isabelle DiNapoli, Krista Francia, Jazzlyn Longo, Katie Walling and Anna Wilming for its academic all-district team, the organization announced last week.

The CSC teams honor student-athletes in four divisions of college sports — NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA, recognizing athletes in different sports for their performances in athletics and in the classroom. Each nominee must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and meet stringent eligibility requirements related to game participation.

Francia, a junior from Surprise, Arizona and transfer from the University of Maine, was selected a CSC Academic All-America finalist and advances to the national ballot. The finalists will be voted on by CSC members. The first, second and third-team honorees will be announced June 17.
