Motorcyclist, 22, killed in Poway after colliding head-on with Ford truck ...Middle East

A motorcyclist died Saturday after colliding with a truck towing a boat on state Route 67 in Poway, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said.

At 11:45 a.m., deputies from the Poway station were called to SR-67 and Ellie Lane, officials said in a news release. They found that the motorcyclist, 22, had crashed head-on with a Ford truck.

Poway firefighters and paramedics responded, but the the motorcyclist died at the scene despite their aid. The man’s name was withheld pending family notification.

It was unclear if alcohol or drugs were involved in the collision. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating.
