Todd and Julie Chrisley’s recent presidential pardon has other reality TV stars hopeful that President Donald Trump will issue them the same.
“I am so happy for them. Now let’s get Karen Huger a pardon!!!!!” The Real Housewives of Potomac alum Katie Rost wrote via X on Friday, May 30, sharing footage from Todd’s first press conference following his release.
Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were found guilty of multiple counts of fraud and sentenced in 2022 to 12 and seven years in prison, respectively. After a 2024 appeal reduced their sentences by two years, Trump, 78, formally pardoned the Chrisley Knows Best couple earlier this month. They were released on Wednesday, May 28.
Huger, for her part, was sentenced to one year in jail in March. The 61-year-old RHOP star was found guilty of driving under the influence. (She maintained her innocence throughout her trial.)

“I’m serious, guys. She does not deserve to be in prison one more day,” Rost, 44, added via X. “She needs treatment. She doesn’t deserve this. I’m going to petition the President. #KatieVibes.”
Huger was charged with a DUI, a DWI and driving recklessly after a March 2024 car accident. In December 2024, Huger was found guilty on all charges except the count of reckless driving.
“Although we are disappointed in the jury’s verdict, we of course respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case,” Huger’s attorney A. Scott Bolden said in a statement at the time. “We continue to reserve Mrs. Huger’s right to an appeal and intend to fully pursue justice on her behalf. We appreciate your support and prayers for Mrs. Huger and her family at this time.”
Ahead of Huger’s sentencing, she skipped the latest RHOP reunion in favor of a treatment program and sent a pretaped message instead.

“I’m not an alcoholic, let’s be clear,” Huger said. “This is very frightening, but I accept full responsibility for everything that went on with my car accident. I don’t care about me right now. I care about my children, I care about my family. They are so hurt.”
Huger is now behind bars and allegedly doing well.
“I have been in contact with someone that’s very close to her about her safety and all that,” RHOP costar Gizelle Bryant said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen last month. “From what I understand, they love her up in where she is right now. They absolutely love her. They are loving the Grande Dame! And you know she’s running that thing. I feel very good about the fact that she’s safe.”
