A crash on eastbound Interstate 70 closed the highway between east Vail and Vail Pass on Friday afternoon, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The crash was reported just after 4 p.m. and closed the roadway between exit 180 and exit 190, state officials said.

Drivers should expect delays in the area, CDOT said.
