CINCINNATI, Ohio (WCMH) -- The FBI is offering a reward of $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of a man wanted for allegedly shooting two Mifflin Township police officers on Wednesday.
The FBI Cincinnati Field Office said it's assisting the U.S. Marshals Service and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in locating Daveonte James Dixon, 21, who they are considering "armed and dangerous."
In addition to the FBI's $25,000 reward, Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, FOP Capital City Lodge #9, and the U.S. Marshals Service are also offering up $5,000 each, bringing the reward total to $40,000.
Dixon is wanted on warrants for attempted murder and felonious assault. He is 6'1" and 215 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo on his left forearm, according to the FBI Cincinnati.

"I strongly encourage anyone with information about Dixon's location to notify law enforcement immediately."
Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said officers pulled over a vehicle at about 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Perdue Avenue and Mecca Road in the Northeast Side, just outside of Columbus city limits.
During the traffic stop, Baldwin stated that Dixon, a passenger in the car, got out and began to run. When officers chased after him, Dixon turned and fired, hitting the two officers.
Dixon has prior convictions, including burglary and obstruction of justice, and is legally prohibited from carrying a firearm.

The Mifflin Township Police Department has five full-time officers. Mifflin Township reported that one of the injured officers will be released from the hospital on Thursday, while another underwent a second surgery Thursday morning and continues to recover.
