Big Brother and The Challenge alum Josh Martinez wants to play The Traitors.
Martinez, 31, is fresh off his one-episode run on NBC’s new competitive reality show Destination X, and despite quickly getting the boot, he wants to stay in the NBC family.
“My wish is to continue to work with NBC and I would love to do The Traitors,” he told Us Weekly exclusively. “I think that I would be an absolute cannonball in there, a wrecking ball. But it would make for great TV and I just want to give it a shot.”
The Traitors, which aired its third season on Peacock earlier this year, has cast Big Brother and The Challenge alumni each season so far. With season 4 set to air in early 2026, Martinez is not part of the rumored cast but the show’s popularity makes it likely that he will have more chances.
Josh Martinez Hasn't 'Really Talked' to Bananas About 'Challenge' Betrayal
“I’ve heard so many things from past friends that have worked with NBC on other shows that like they’re just amazing in the treatment, and I can attest to that that they truly were so good,” Martinez continued.
Destination X is a game that transports a group of players via a windowless bus around Europe, dropping clues along the way as to where they are. Players are then sent into the “map room” to try and pinpoint their location. The contestant whose guess is furthest from their actual location gets eliminated.
Josh admitted that while his gut correctly told him the group was in Rome, he placed his guess much further north in Italy.
Martinez made a name for himself on Big Brother 19 as an outspoken player. In his lone season, he won the game despite his habit of banging pots and pans, loudly singing “Entrance of the Gladiators” and wearing his emotions on his sleeve.
Tom Sandoval Would Have 'Left the Castle' If He Were Picked as a Traitor
He said that while he would love to be chosen as a traitor, he believes he would be more entertaining as a faithful.
“Me being a faithful, I could just have a clean conscience and I can call everyone out, or I can just go toe-to-toe with whoever,” he said.
Martinez now has Big Brother, Big Brother Reindeer Games, Destination X and seven seasons of The Challenge to his name, all since 2017. If he doesn’t make it on The Traitors, NBC also has Deal or No Deal Island in its reality stable. DONDI featured Big Brother 2 winner Dr. Will Kirby on its second season.
“Never did I think when I signed up for Big Brother that my life would turn into this,” Martinez reflected. “I’m getting emotional even thinking this, but I never thought that my life would turn into what it is now.”
Destination X airs on NBC Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
