Authorities have publicly named a man and a woman who died recently in North County traffic accidents.

At around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Kealan Hannigan, 20, of Escondido collided with an SUV while riding a motorcycle in Escondido, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Paramedics transported Hannigan from the accident scene at North Centre City Parkway and North Nutmeg Street to Palomar Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead about 40 minutes after the collision.

Two weeks ago, a Carlsbad woman died in a collision on El Camino Real and Jackspar Drive.

Late on the morning of May 16, Patricia Roberts, 82, of Carlsbad collided with a van at the intersection, the medical examiner said.

An ambulance crew took Roberts to Palomar, where she died eight days later. She died of complications from injuries to her trunk and extremities, including rib and pelvic fractures.
