But there is only so far that the very best efforts could go to hide the underlying weirdness of the event. For one, Musk — the world’s richest man, who was until very recently referred to as Trump’s effective co-president — was sporting a shiner of a black eye, which was left entirely unmentioned for some time until one reporter eventually bothered to ask about it.
