Amad Diallo responded to abuse from a Manchester United fan by showing the middle finger on their Asia tour.
Ruben Amorim’s side have travelled to Malaysia after their worst ever Premier League season in which they finished 15th with 42 points.
United started their Asia tour with a defeatGettyA dismal run of form, which has also included a Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, was mad even worse on Wednesday.
United were beaten 1-0 in a friendly match against an ASEAN All-Stars side that features players from southeast Asian leagues.
Now, images of Amad raising his middle finger towards a supporter have circulated online.
talkSPORT understands Amad responded to an abusive comment from a fan in what was a small, isolated incident.
It came after the United squad were told not to stop and sign shirts by security.
Amad then appears alongside Alejandro Garnacho in another photo, with one fan taking a selfie while they both make the same gesture.
This is thought to be an inside joke among the squad.
Amad and Garnacho were the club’s joint-second highest scorers in all competitions this season with 11 goals each.
However, the former’s tally came in 15 less matches than the latter’s due to a lengthy absence with an ankle injury.
The 2024/25 campaign may well have been Garnacho’s last for United as head coach Amorim told him to find a new club.

Both he and Amad were second half substitutes against ASEAN All-Stars at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
United fans booed the team at full-time after the dismal defeat, with Amorim hinting that they could be a source of motivation.
“I feel always guilty of the performance of the team since I am here in the first game,” he said.
“The boos from the fans, maybe it is something we need because every game that we lost in the Premier League they were always there. Let’s see for next season.”

They will then continue to prepare for the summer transfer window, with Matheus Cunha already set to join.
The Wolves forward is set to complete a £62.5million move to Old Trafford and take the no.10 shirt.
talkSPORT also understands United have held talks with Brentford for the £50m-rated Bryan Mbeumo, who is also of interest to Newcastle.
Amorim’s side have also been interested in Ipswich Town star Liam Delap but he is now closing in on a move to Chelsea.
