CHIEFS of a restaurant chain that has been dubbed better than McDonalds have unveiled plans to open dozens of new restaurants.
Shake Shack chiefs are also launching new promotions designed to attract potential diners to the fast food brand.

“We are committed to bringing the world’s best fine casual experience to as many guests, team members, and communities as possible,” CEO Rob Lynch said.
Bosses revealed that more than half of the restaurants would be run by the company.
Shake Shack chiefs have ambitions to have 1,500 restaurants and Lynch unveiled a six-point plan.
“We need to go into places we haven’t really in before,” he said.
Bosses are also launching promotions to take on its rivals such as McDonald’s, Five Guys, and Burger King.
From June 5, diners will be able to get a $1 drink if they buy products via the Shake Shack app or website, per Bloomberg.
There will also be perks for customers who buy certain items.
Diners will be able to get $10 off their order if they buy a burger on two separate visits to their local Shake Shack restaurant, as reported by QSR.
In a separate promo, fast-food lovers who buy a barbecue sandwich on two visits will also be able to get money off.
This particular promo will run from July to August 6.
Diners will also be able to take part in so-called challenges, where they can win rewards.
In January, Lynch also revealed chiefs wanted to optimize restaurants and boost sales.
And, the company is developing a new leadership strategy in line with its expansion plans.
“The biggest barrier to our ability to achieve 1,500 company-operated units is having enough people to run them,” Lynch said.
Bosses are working to build a pool of managers that will be able to run establishments.
Americans have a raft of fast-food outlets to choose from, ranging from Shake Shack to McDonald’s.
And, this choice has sparked a debate on which serves the better food.
Some diners believe that Shake Shack’s burgers are better than products on sale at McDonald’s.
“Shake Shack is sooo better and worth the cost!” one fan posted on X.
Scores of Redditors have claimed that patties on Shake Shack burgers are better quality.
Shake Shack ranked third in a list of America’s top burger chains, according to a Yelp list shared by Food & Wine.
McDonald’s ranked a lowly 17th and was beaten by brands such as Five Guys, Jack in the Box, and Red Robin.
Burger King was ranked 19th, while Wendy’s and Steak n Shake also made the top 25.
Shake Shack is not the only restaurant chain that is opening new locations.
The U.S. Sun reported how Wendy’s chiefs are expanding their network of stores.
More than two dozen restaurants have opened across the US since January 1.
