The Redwood Empire Fair Spring Fest opens Friday at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in Ukiah.
Scheduled for May 30 to June 1, Spring Fest features plenty of family fun, live music, and all your favorite fair foods and carnival rides. The Spring Fest also offers two evenings of hair-raising motorized speedway action. This year’s event is sponsored by Thurston Auto Plaza.
Admission is free for everyone, with grandstand admission requiring tickets for adults and kids 3 years and up.
On Friday, bring the whole family for an evening of Monster Trucks and Mudd Boggs beginning at 6 p.m. Crowd pleasers Wicked Strong, Enforcer, Playing for Keeps, Scattered and the ever-popular Skull Crusher will be on hand to thrill and amaze. Music lovers will enjoy the rocking energy of Warehouse 21 from 6 to 10 p.m. on the fairgrounds’ Willow Tree Stage.
Saturday evening adds boat races to the adrenalized action of Monster Trucks and Mudd Boggs, with live music by the Black Horse Blues Band from 6 to 10 p.m. Grandstand events begin at 6 p.m.
On Sunday evening, dance to a variety of Latin music provided by Banda Pacifica, Grupo SG and Elegancia RM from 6 to 10 p.m.
The fairgrounds opens at 3 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday and Sunday. There is a $10 parking fee.
Save $4 per ticket by purchasing pre-sale grandstand tickets at all Mendo Mill Stores in Mendocino County. Pre-sale single day carnival wristbands are also available at all Mendo Mill Stores, as well as Ukiah Taco Bell, Raley’s, Chavez Market and Creative Workshop, with an $8 per ticket savings if purchased in advance. Pre-sales end at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 30.
