ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The month of May has given Rochester plenty of rainfall with current precipitation totals now at over four inches – which is well above normal for the month.  Obviously, Western New York does not need any additional wet weather, but the showers continue. Two areas of low-pressure that are located across the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic region continue to drift north.  Unfortunately, the News10 NBC First Alert forecast calls for showers in varying amounts right into the weekend.

Tonight, the steadier rain will taper to scattered showers, but not until late tonight.  The low temperature will be in the middle 50s.  Thursday and Friday there will be significant periods of dry weather, but a passing shower will be possible for each day.  The temperature will be in the upper 60s on Thursday and lower 70s on Friday.   Then the chance of rain goes up again for Saturday.  Unfortunately, it will be breezy and much cooler with the temperature mostly In the 50s.
