Morgan Wallen leads this week’s all-genre Billboard Hot 100 (dated May 31), as his Tate McRae collaboration “What I Want” debuts atop both the all-genre chart and the Hot Country Songs chart.
The collaboration between the country and pop stars is from Wallen’s new album, I’m the Problem, which soars in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 2025’s biggest week by equivalent album units: 493,000 in the United States May 16-22, according to Luminate.
“What I Want” is Wallen’s 11th No. 1 on Hot Country Songs and his fourth on the Hot 100. McRae earns her first chart-topper on each survey.

The same year, Wallen’s Post Malone collaboration “I Had Some Help” launched at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and the Hot Country Songs chart in May.
“What I Want” is the first song of 2025 to top both charts. “Love Somebody” marked the fourth song in 2024 to lead both lists, following Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” and Wallen and Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help.” 2023 also saw four songs reach the pinnacle of both charts, then-marking the most songs to top both charts since 1975-76, when six songs doubled up.
