Breakfast is ready Whittier as the popular EggBred restaurant opens a new location in the city.
The breakfast hotspot, known for its egg-centric sandwiches and burritos, opened its latest spot earlier this month at 7012 Walnut Grove Drive.
“We look forward to becoming an integral part of the Whittier community and providing a welcoming space,” said Albert Shim, CEO of EggBred, in a statement.
Founded in La Habra in 2020, the breakfast spot is known for its hefty sandwiches served between thick airy buns and customer favorites like the Chorizo Egg & Cheese Breakfast Burrito, and the Scramble Me Softly Breakfast Sandwich as well as the Truffle Crunch Burger.
The restaurant also serves dishes like a breakfast poutine, made with beer battered potatoes, buttermilk popcorn chicken, country sausage gravy and a soft poached egg, as well as the filling chorizo chili cheese hash made with beer battered potatoes, cheddar jack, chorizo chili, avocado cilantro crema, soft poached egg and chives. Drinks on the menu include brewed coffee and cold-pressed juices.
Other EggBred locations include restaurants in places like Long Beach, Tustin, Huntington Beach and Garden Grove.
