Donald Trump criticized both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Trump characterized Putin's actions as indicative of someone who has "gone absolutely crazy," asserting that these actions have led to unnecessary loss of life . This condemnation reflects a broader critique of Putin's military aggression while simultaneously questioning Zelenskyy's approach to the crisis.

In a rare rebuke, Trump said: "What the hell happened to him? He's killing a lot of people." He later called Putin "absolutely crazy".
President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier said Washington's "silence" over recent Russian attacks was encouraging Putin, urging "strong pressure" - including tougher sanctions - on Moscow.

Following a recent deadly Russian attack on Kyiv, Trump urged Putin to halt the assault on Ukraine, reiterating his concern over the ongoing war. However, the Kremlin stated on Thursday that no direct talks were scheduled, despite earlier meetings between Russian and Ukrainian officials in Turkey.
Zelenskyy, frustrated by what he sees as an inadequate international response, directly criticised the United States. “America’s silence, and the silence of others in the world, only encourages Putin,” he said, warning that the war won’t stop unless there’s stronger global pressure.
Trump contended that Zelenskyy's rhetoric is detrimental to Ukraine's interests, claiming that "everything out of his mouth causes problems". He framed the conflict not solely as a confrontation between Ukraine and Russia but as a shared responsibility among Zelenskyy, Putin, and current U.S. President Joe Biden. By labeling it "Zelenskyy's, Putin's, and Biden's War," Trump seeks to diminish American involvement in the situation while positioning himself as a potential leader who could have prevented the war had he remained in office
