A 51-year-old Pomona man suspected of fatally stabbing a man at a gas station in Tustin turned himself in, according to police.
Detectives from the Tustin Police Department had identified the man, Jose de Jesus Herrera as the suspect in the stabbing after their investigation revealed that Herrera and the victim had become involved in an altercation that resulted in a fatal stabbing. The victim has been identified only as a 27-year-old man. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The stabbing occurred at a 76 gas station at 3071 Edinger Avenue just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 24.
Herrera later turned himself in to police and was booked at the Orange County Jail on suspicion of murder.
