West Indies have unleashed yet another big hitter into World cricket. On Friday, Matthew Forde rewrote history with a sensational innings in the IRE vs WI 2nd ODI. Forde smashed the fastest ODI fifty, equaling AB de Villiers’ record set in 2015.

Matthew Forde smashed the joint fastest half-century ODI history in a brutal show of hitting in Dublin. The 23-year-old walked into bat in the 43rd over at the fall of Roston Chase. Forde straightway meant business, smashing Barry McCarthy for a maximum off just his second ball of the game.
He then smashed four back to back sixes off Joshua Little, taking 26 off the 45th over. Matthew Forde then smashed Kyle Mayers struck a six and four.
