And Clark was caught up in more controversy Thursday with another WNBA star.
The Fever took on the Atlanta Dream for the second time this week.
And it brought Clark up against Atlanta’s Rhyne Howard once again.
Howard and Clark were involved in a shoving match as they jostled for the ball.
Dream star Howard then appeared to push Clark away before going after her rival.
And Clark appeared to mouth, “I’m not scared of you.”
Clark’s Fever side ran out 81-76 winners to make amends for their 91-90 loss to the same team Tuesday.
Indiana moved to 2-1 this season with the victory.
But her start to the campaign has been overshadowed by the on-court incident with Reese.
The Fever star said, “Let’s not make it something that it’s not.
“It was just a good play on the basketball.
“I’m not sure what the ref saw to upgrade it, and that’s up to their discretion.
“It’s a take foul to put them at the free-throw line.”
Clark added, “I’ve watched a lot of basketball in my life, that’s exactly what it was.
“I wasn’t trying to do anything malicious.
“That’s not the type of player I am.
“It’s just part of basketball. It is what it is.
“She was trying to make a play on the ball and get the block. It happens.”
The Chicago Sky star was allegedly subject to racial abuse from fans in Indianapolis.
The WNBA said they would investigate the incident and the abuse claims.
