Its last nomination for the Outstanding Studio Show came in 2023.
But Wilbon did not seem to mind as long as the award was not won by Stephen A. Smith or Mike Greenberg.
He made his claim during a recent episode of Pardon the Interruption alongside Kornheiser.
He jibed: “As long as Greeny or Stephen A. didn’t get the Emmy, I’m fine.”
But Kornheiser, 76, tried to stay more neutral as he brushed the jibe with an awkward response.
He said: “I’m glad you said that. I’m leaving that one alone.”
Neither of Wilbon’s rivals were victorious as the winner of the Emmy went to NFL Live on ESPN.
Meanwhile, ESPN is set to axe PTI’s long-running partner weekday evening show Around the Horn.
The show has been on air for over 20 years and is set for its final episode on Friday.
