INDIANA Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton showed the New York Knicks crowd a stunning gesture at the end of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, which ultimately aged like wine.
The Pacers defeated the Knicks in overtime, 138-135, in the Eastern Conference Finals Game 1 on Wednesday night.

But the Pacers came back and were down by just two points with the last possession.
Haliburton ran down the floor, but pivoted back and hit a two-point shot to tie the game.
However, Haliburton thought he nailed a three-pointer, so his reaction was to pull the classic Reggie Miller choke celebration, which he did during Game 5 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals series.
But his foot was on the line and sent the game to overtime.
Fortunately for Haliburton, the Pacers wouldn’t look back as they clinched the overtime win stunningly.
After the game, the two-time NBA All-Star Haliburton told TNT, “I thought it was a 3. I tried to hit the celly and it didn’t work.
“But we finished it in overtime.
“Everybody has been wanting me to do it (the choke sign).
“I was going to hold it for the right time.
“That felt appropriate and then, you know, it went overtime so we’ll have to save it for later.”
The Knicks spoiled two marvelous performances from Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Brunson scored 43 points, while Towns tallied 35 points of his own.
The Knicks would have a nightmare end of the fourth quarter.
They led by 14 with under three minutes left in regulation before Aaron Nesmith brought the Pacers back from the dead with four three-pointers made.

And OG Anunoby also missed a free throw of his own.
The Knicks will hope to put the brutal Game 1 loss behind them as they will face the Pacers on Friday night.
