Many people who saw the Deadline clip are happy to see Spacey back doing what he loves. One person said, "The only canceled actor who was an incredible talent."

However, others weren't too happy about his shocking return, with one person saying, "My grandfather told me never to trust a man in a bow tie."

Of his return to Cannes, Spacey said, "I feel surrounded by so much affection and love. I've heard from so many of my friends and colleagues and co-stars in the last week since this award was announced... It's very nice to be back."
