LOTERY officials have issued a three-step warning for a $585,900 winning ticket that is still unclaimed.
It marks a milestone for how many times the jackpot has been won this year, but it won’t mean much if the ticket holder doesn’t come forward.

Every year, countless Americans fail to come forward to claim their cash.
It could be for any number of reasons, but lotto bosses are often left in a scramble to find a mystery player.
In the New Jersey Lottery, a ticket matched all five numbers on May 18 to win the jackpot, per the outlet northjersey.com.
It marks the 25th time the game has produced a jackpot winner this year.
It was sold in Morris County and was sold via a third-party retailer.
To be specific, that third-party retailer was Jackpocket.com., and it has a lot riding on the winning ticket, too.
The retailer will also pocket a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The numbers in the Jersey Cash 5 game were 15, 26, 30, 34 and 42, while the XTRA was 03 and Bulleseye was 26.
It has also been confirmed that others benefited from this drawing.
There were 19 other players who matched four numbers and the Bullseye to win $500 each.
Meanwhile, one other player hit four balls with the Bullseye and Xtra to win $1,000.
The lotto chiefs have issued a warning to the player to come forward as soon as they can.
While they still have plenty of time to do so, given the amount of cash on the table, they should show themselves.
POWERBALL PUSH
The US Sun also reported on another push to find lotto players sitting on a cash prize.
Multiple Powerball players have winning tickets worth $50,000 that need to be cashed in at various points.
The first one was won at a draw held in Urbandale, Iowa, in late December.
The winner needs to come forward by June 26, 2025, to claim the prize, and if they don’t, it will be forfeited.
Lucky lottery numbers - fact or fiction?
The U.S. Sun spoke exclusively with professor of mathematics at Davidson College, Tim Chartier, who revealed the truth behind lucky numbers.
Scooping up a jackpot prize in a lottery game such as Powerball or Mega Millions involves correctly guessing a series of numbers.
Many players swear by certain numbers, sticking with digits such as birthdays, anniversaries, or ages – but do these numbers statistically carry the luck that players believe they do?
According to Chartier, they do.
“I think a number is lucky if you have fun playing it and it improves your experience of winning,” he said.
“The big lotteries are, statistically speaking, a chance to dream of being a multi-millionaire or even billionaire. If playing a certain number heightens that experience, then yes!”
However, the lottery expert clarified that aside from the feel-good implications of playing your “lucky numbers,” no number is truly lucky when it comes to the lottery.
“All numbers are equally likely,” said Chartier.
He explained that even though all numbers are equally likely, some may seem to appear more often.
For example, rolling a six-sided die six times does not guarantee that you will roll each number exactly once.
The second ticket was won in Davenport, Iowa, in early March, but there is more time to claim this one.
This player has until August 28, 2025, to come forward and claim, given that rules give players 180 days after the drawing date to do so.
The US Sun also reported on another $50,000 ticket in the Powerball that was bought late last year but has still not been claimed.
The ticket was bought at a draw in Louisiana in mid-December.
This means that the player has until sometime in the month of June to come forward and take the money.
