Four teams in the Daily News area are headed into the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section playoffs, including two from the Mission League.

Quarterfinal games are slated to begin at 3:15 on Wednesday, and here’s what to expect in each of them:

El Modena at Notre Dame, Division 1

The Knights are hot right now and have reached the quarterfinals after being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in each of the last two seasons. They took down Orange Lutheran 9-7 in the first round before beating El Segundo 12-10 in the second round.

Nadia Ledon is leading Notre Dame with a .489 batting average and .538 on-base percentage. The Knights have offensive production up and down the lineup. Twelve players are hitting .309 or better. El Modena pitcher Sara Pinedo (16-4), a Loyola Marymount commit, owns a 1.89 ERA and has recorded 140 strikeouts in 129.2 innings.

Mission Viejo at Westlake, Division 3

The Warriors are battle-tested from a tough Marmonte League season that they achieved a third-place finish in. They beat Schurr and Chaminade in the first two games of playoffs and have scored a total of 14 runs in those games.

Senior Kaia Tan has driven in a team-high 25 runs while hitting .362. Sophomore Sydney Katz is next with 24 RBIs and senior Kira Palmer has 21 RBIs.

Harvard-Westlake at Dos Pueblos, Division 4

The Wolverines finished as the Mission League runner-up behind Notre Dame and have victories against Oaks Hills and Foothill in the playoffs, by scores of 8-5 and 5-3, respectively.

Wednesday will mark the first game between Harvard-Westlake and Dos Pueblos, which allowed only five runs in the first two games of the playoffs. Junior center fielder Anastasia Brunner, an Idaho State commit, has stolen eight bases and has an on-base percentage of .591.

West Ranch at La Cañada, Division 5

The Wildcats outscored their first two opponents of the playoffs 21-6 after tying Valencia for second place in the Foothill League. The team is young — there’s only one senior on the roster.

Sophomore Naomi Stoll is one of the best-performing hitters on the team with 34 RBIs while slashing .429/.495/8.21 with six home runs. She also has 213 putouts as a first baseman. Freshman Torrey Price is hitting .465 and has stolen seven bases on eight attempts.
