Chasing a 188 to win, the 14-year-old stitched two vital partnerships with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson to see his team over the line. After the game, Vaibhav made the most of his opportunity to meet MS Dhoni. Suryavanshi was just 5 days old when MS led India to a World Cup win in 2011 in Mumbai.

He broke the record for the fastest century by an Indian, with a 35-ball effort against the Gujarat Titans. On Tuesday, he played a rather measured knock, scoring 57 off 33 balls with four boundaries and four sixes. He has the best strike rate of the season for any batter with more than 100 runs this season.
