Jorginho is set to join Brazilian side Flamengo ahead of the Club World Cup.
The midfielder will leave Arsenal on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The Gunners midfielder will complete the move ahead of the Club World CupGettyHis contract had been due to expire at the end of June, but a deal has been agreed for the 33-year-old to depart early.
The move will allow Jorginho to join up with Flamengo in time for the Club World Cup, which gets underway on June 14.
Flamengo play their first match against Esperance de Tunis two days later.
They will then face Jorginho’s former side Chelsea in Philadelphia on June 20.
The Italian previously spent four-and-a-half years with the Blues before his move to Arsenal in January 2023.
During that time, he made 213 appearances for the club, scoring 29 goals and providing eight assists.
Jorginho also lifted four trophies with Chelsea, including the Champions League and Club World Cup.
He will now be managed by another name familiar to those at Stamford Bridge.
Flamengo are coached by former Brazil full-back Filipe Luis, who took charge in September.
Luis, who lifted the Premier League with Chelsea in 2015, has already won the Brazilian Cup and Super Cup with his current club.

It comes after 27 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners this season.
He made his return to action off the bench against Newcastle on Sunday after recovering from a lung injury.
The lay-off had seen Jorginho fail to feature in his side’s previous seven matches prior to the weekend.

This summer will see an initial window for signings from June 1 through to June 10.
The transfer window will then re-open on June 16 before closing for good on September 1.
